Dr. Andreas Matt

Andreas Daniel Matt is director of IMAGINARY, a non-profit organization for the communication of modern mathematics. He received his doctorate in machine learning (reinforcement learning) at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and the University of Innsbruck and has 18 years of experience in the field of interactive and participatory knowledge transfer. From 2007 to 2016 he worked at the Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach and co-founded IMAGINARY. His work was awarded the Media Prize of the German Mathematical Society 2013 and the ECSITE Mariano Gago Award 2020, among others.
