Ilka Bickmann
Ilka Bickmann is committed to the participation of all people in knowledge and science in her competence as a qualified Germanist, journalist and psychologist. What knowledge do we need to understand tomorrow’s world? In which world can we (technologically), want (socially), will (both together) live in the future? Her non-profit organization, founded in 2007, is guided by these questions science2public eV at the interface between research, society and the future and tries out different formats and methods for the encounter of different worlds of experience and experience and disciplines. A special focus is on the initiation and sustainable establishment of interdisciplinary associations and networks in cooperation between politics, business, science and the media.
Current projects are, for example. the Make Science Hall as Germany’s first citizen research ship, which researches life in and on the water, blue bioeconomy, among others, with four universities and residents from town and country on the river Saale; the OpenLabNet – Open laboratories for everyone! as a regional network initiative for citizen research in Halle (Saale); since 2018 conception and management of an experiment room “Passage 13 “As a new kind of youth meeting place and meeting place for research and youth in the focal point of Halle-Neustadt as part of the SILVER SALT festivals . Since 2019, Ilka Bickmann has also headed the annual KI & Wir Convention on more diversity in artificial intelligence.
