Josephine D’Ippolito
Josephine D’Ippolito studied English culture, literature and linguistics as well as German as a foreign and second language at the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg. She completed her Bachelor of Arts with the topic “Simulation and Surveillance in Disney’s Theme Parks” and the Master of Arts with “Gendering and Anthropomorphising Robots in Fiction”.
At the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF Magdeburg she worked from 2011-2018 as a research assistant for the institute management.
Since 2018 she has been a doctoral candidate at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and is doing her doctorate on “Anthropomorphising and Gendering Artificial Intelligences in Science Fiction” in the Department of English Studies.
She is also the municipal equal opportunities officer for the city of Schöningen.
