Fiona Krakenbürger

Its focus is on the promotion and systematic support of technology projects and digitally mediated initiatives.
Prior to the Alfred Landecker Foundation, Fiona worked on various open source grant projects. As Senior Program Manager of the Open Technology Fund in Washington D.C., Fiona developed and managed international open source projects in the areas of censorship circumvention, privacy, and security. Previously, Fiona worked at the Open Knowledge Foundation Germany on topics related to civic tech, freedom of information, transparency and open government. For the Prototype Fund, Fiona supported open source civic tech and public interest technology projects as Program Manager.
She completed her Master’s degree in Sociology of Technology at the Technical University of Berlin on the interrelationships of gender, technology and innovation. She is also committed to more diversity in technology development and is a founding member of the feminist hackspace Heart of Code in Berlin.
