Katharina Bata

Katharina Bata is a mathematician and works as a research assistant at the TH Köln (University for Applied Science). Her PhD project is about the teaching and learning of data science and machine learning methods for engineering students. She uses results from this PhD project directly in courses for higher mathematics, data science and machine learning at the Faculty of Process Engineering, Energy and Mechanical Systems at TH Köln.

Since 2020, Katharina Bata and Prof. Dr. Angela Schmitz form a fellow tandem of AI Campus for testing innovative teaching concepts for the application-oriented teaching of AI and data skills using the integration of AI Campus learning opportunities.
