Tamara Gupper

Tamara Gupper is a PhD student in anthropology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and is also studying computer science. As part of her doctoral project, she is doing ethnographic research in a team of computer scientists who are programming a soccer team made up of humanoid robots. She is actively involved in the team as a programmer and incorporates auto-ethnographic knowledge about the programming of and handling of robots into her work. The goal of her research is to understand the underlying processes behind the development of this software, with a focus on the human-technology relationships involved.
