Bio-IT should be on the political agenda

The combination of biology and information technology could generate groundbreaking innovations – whether in the form of new, personalized treatment options or through the development of climate-friendly ways of producing food. The high-tech forum, a committee made up of economic, science and political experts, has analyzed these opportunities and rolled into one Impulse paper summarized. The forum sees an urgent need for political and social action and recommends that the Federal Government put bio-IT on the political agenda. By advancing bio-IT research, their potential can be fully developed.
